Fred Baars

Fred Baars is a Senior Process Director with Fluor’s Production and Fuels business line located in the Amsterdam, the Netherlands office. Fred has over 35 years' experience in refinery operations, refinery processes, and in executing and managing refinery projects in all phases of execution from early conceptual, through basic engineering to EPC both as revamps and grass roots projects. He is the author of recent articles on refinery petrochemical integration and refinery decarbonisation. Fred was named a Fluor Fellow in 2005. Fred has been a member of the ADIPEC Downstream Conference Technical committee since 2023.
